Truck Driver

Fazal Dad Tanzania Limited is seeking experienced and reliable Truck Drivers to join its transport operations team based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting cargo on international routes, primarily between Tanzania, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods.

This position requires disciplined drivers with strong knowledge of regional transport routes, border crossing procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices. The role demands professionalism, compliance with road safety regulations, and the ability to handle long-distance transportation assignments efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Drive cargo trucks on international routes to Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• Ensure safe, secure, and timely transportation of goods to designated destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain all required transport, customs, and border clearance documentation.
• Comply with traffic laws, transport regulations, and company policies.
• Follow road safety procedures in Tanzania and destination countries.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or operational challenges to management promptly.
• Monitor vehicle performance during trips and identify maintenance needs.
• Ensure proper handling and security of transported cargo.
• Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicles.
• Cooperate with logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth transportation activities.
• Represent the company professionally during interactions with customers, authorities, and border officials.

Qualifications

• Valid Class E Driving Licence.
• Minimum of three to five years of experience in long-distance truck driving.
• Proven experience driving heavy cargo vehicles on regional or international routes.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining before expiry.
• Knowledge of transport routes within Tanzania, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• Basic technical knowledge of truck operations and minor mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to maintain transport and customs documentation accurately.
• Fluency in both Swahili and English.
