Organization: Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the position of Locomotive Driver II. The successful candidates will support safe shunting and locomotive handling operations within railway yards and depots.

Position: Locomotive Driver II
Number of Positions: 10
Application Period: 19 May 2026 – 1 June 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform shunting duties within station yards, sidings, and running depots at the home station
• Check locomotive fitness before use
• Report any locomotive problems identified during operation
• Record all important events occurring during shunting operations
• Record fuel balance at the start and end of shunting duties
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Form IV Certificate
• Locomotive Driving Certificate or Locomotive Shunting Certificate from TIRTEC or any recognized institution
• Valid Class F or G Driving License
