Equity Bank Tanzania is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of Relationship Manager within the Corporate Banking division.

Position: Relationship Manager
Department: Commercial
Reporting to: Head of Corporate Banking
Position Level: Manager

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of corporate customers, serve as their primary financial advisor, acquire new corporate clients, and support business growth through deposit mobilization, loan growth, revenue generation, portfolio management, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow corporate banking relationships
• Prospect and acquire new corporate customers
• Assess customer business opportunities and cross-selling potential
• Develop strategies to increase share of wallet and profitability
• Generate, track, and close sales leads and pipelines
• Ensure compliance with loan covenants, banking policies, and regulations
• Prepare quality credit proposals and business recommendations
• Maintain compliance with Bank of Tanzania regulations and internal policies
• Serve as the main contact person for corporate clients
• Support and mentor Relationship Managers
• Manage complaint handling and customer support
• Drive portfolio growth, deposit mobilization, and income targets
• Monitor portfolio quality, PAR, and NPL ratios

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
• 3 to 5 years of banking experience, preferably in Corporate Banking
• Strong understanding of credit analysis and corporate lending
• Proven sales and relationship management experience

Skills Required

• Strong cross-selling and upselling skills
• Ability to analyze financial statements and cash flows
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
