Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL), the largest sugar producer in Tanzania operating together with Illovo Distillers Tanzania Limited (IDTL), is inviting applications from qualified, hardworking, and committed individuals to fill the position of Loading Operator. The company is part of the ABF Sugar Division and continues to support professional growth while maintaining high operational and healthcare service standards within its workplace environment.
Job Profile
- The successful Loading Operator is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate handling of ENA, TA and FO.
- · Make sure the Drivers and assistants must be inducted on the loading procedure
- · The Loading Operator must observe and assist the driver to properly position the tanker without causing any damage. The tanker must be positioned such that the top of the tanker can be safely accessed from the loading floor
- · Monitor gauges and warning lights during operation, responding promptly to any indicators of malfunction or potential issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures
- · Load trucks with designated materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to safety protocols
- · Verify correct ethanol grade, batch information, and tanker ID before transfer.
- · Dipping Daily receiver tanks and Bulk storage tanks.
- · Conduct pre-loading inspections of tankers for cleanliness, proper sealing, and grounding.
- · Connect and disconnect loading systems safely and securely to avoid spills or leaks.
- · Maintain the work area by clearing debris, levelling surfaces, and organizing stockpiles to optimize efficiency and safety. Maintain accurate records of materials received and loaded, utilizing inventory management systems
- · Collaborate with logistic Foreman to coordinate loading schedules and process
- · Participate in regular safety training and always adhere to safety protocols
- · Reports all quality deviations and irregularities and together with the Logistic Foreman make required plant adjustments.
- · On taking over the shift, checks the condition of equipment, consulting fellow employees or specialists if needed.
- · Simultaneously performs various tasks, sets the priorities for their activities, and works effectively also under pressure; analyses their activities.
- · Conducts visual checks and inspections of the Product storage and Loading Bay, and associated utilities and report for any abnormality.
- · Execute basic maintenance tasks on equipment, including cleaning, greasing, and minor repairs, reporting significant mechanical problems to maintenance staff.
- · Respond promptly to alarms, spills, or emergency shutdowns, and report incidents to supervisors.
- · Assist with the execution of duties in other areas of the plant.
- · Ensuring that the ENA/TA/FO stock levels in the storage tanks are controlled and managed to prevent tanks being overfilled
- · Loading deviations and equipment breakdowns are attended to timeously to ensure the efficient loading.
- · Ensure accurate volume measurement and loading to prevent product loss or overloading penalties.
- · Prevent product contamination through proper hose handling, sealing, and equipment
- · Minimize demurrage and loading delays by ensuring readiness of equipment and compliance with loading plans.
- · Use loading equipment and accessories responsibly to reduce repair and replacement costs.
- · Assist in maintaining product inventory balance through accurate documentation and meter readings.

Qualifications
Job Qualification
· Minimum NTA level 2 /equivalent in Electrical/Instrumentation from a recognized Institution.
· Basic knowledge in electrical, electronics, pneumatic circuits reading and interpreting, faults tracing and rectification
· 1-2 years in plant maintenance, industrial electrical systems, or instrumentation
