What This Role Involves

This is a field-based agribusiness and financial-inclusion role rather than a conventional banking position. The Agribusiness Advisor will spend significant time working directly with farmers, cooperatives, MSMEs, and other agricultural stakeholders.

A major part of the job is helping agricultural businesses become more productive and financially capable while connecting them with appropriate financial services. The Advisor may, for example, train farmer groups in financial management and good agricultural practices, help strengthen their business operations, connect them with markets, and introduce suitable banking products.

The role also has a strong project implementation and reporting component. The successful candidate must be able to work against project targets, collect reliable field data, document results, and provide regular reports to support decision-making.

Ideal Candidate

This opportunity is particularly suitable for an experienced professional with a background in:

  • Agricultural Extension

  • Agribusiness Development

  • Agricultural Economics

  • Agricultural Production

  • Farmer Training

  • Cooperative Development

  • Agricultural Value Chains

  • Rural Development

  • Financial Inclusion

  • Agricultural Project Implementation

Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical experience working directly with farmers and agricultural value-chain actors, rather than relying only on academic agricultural knowledge.
