Integrated Management Systems Associate job at JTI Tanzania

Japan Tobacco International (JTI) is seeking an experienced and qualified Integrated Management Systems Associate to join its Manufacturing function in Dar es Salaam. The position focuses on developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS), covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.

This is a fixed-term position reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring regulatory and ISO compliance, coordinating audits, managing risks, improving business processes, and strengthening awareness of integrated management systems across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Integrated Management System documentation and processes.

• Ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards and legal requirements.

  

• Plan and manage internal and external audits.

• Coordinate certification audits and related activities.

• Lead risk assessments and ensure identified mitigation measures are implemented.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

• Provide training and awareness sessions on IMS requirements.

• Manage document control and records management systems.

• Monitor IMS performance indicators and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Support the organization in maintaining effective quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or another related field.

• Professional certification in ISO standards is preferred, particularly Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001.

• More than 3 years of experience in Integrated Management Systems and ISO management systems, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong experience in auditing, compliance, and risk management.

• Good command of both English and Swahili.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and training skills.

• Knowledge of legal compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
