The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings by translating engineering designs, specifications, and instructions into drafting documentation. Job Summary

• Produce accurate technical drawings and drafting documentation
• Translate engineering designs and technical specifications into detailed drawings
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and company procedures

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpret design concepts, technical specifications, and engineering instructions to develop detailed drawings
• Create, update, and revise 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software
• Utilize drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks to prepare and modify technical drawings
• Take field measurements and collect site data to support accurate drawing preparation and fabrication
• Review and analyze existing drawings to identify discrepancies, outdated versions, and inconsistencies with actual site conditions
• Prepare reports on identified discrepancies and coordinate corrective updates with engineers and designers
• Organize, file, and maintain drawings, revisions, and related records for easy retrieval
• Demonstrate understanding of mechanical equipment and operational processes
• Ensure compliance of all drawings with industry standards, safety requirements, and company procedures
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor

Academic Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from a recognized institution
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in drafting or a similar technical role

Work Experience

• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
• Experience in field data collection and as-built documentation is an added advantage
