Mwalimu Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology has announced two vacancies for the position of Artisan II (Carpentry). The university is seeking qualified and skilled Tanzanians to join its technical team and support maintenance and operational activities within the institution.

The selected candidates will be responsible for assisting in carpentry works, maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, handling tools and equipment, and supporting senior staff in technical operations. Interested applicants are advised to submit their applications within the application period from 19 May 2026 to 01 June 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in performing specified craft jobs under supervision
• Assist in performing routine technical cleaning of the work environment
• Assist in taking care of tools and equipment
• Assist in operational repairs of machinery, facilities, buildings, and infrastructure
• Assist in reporting maintenance problems to senior staff
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Holder of Form IV or Form VI Certificate
• Must possess Trade Test Grade I or Level III in Carpentry or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions

Remuneration

• Salary Scale: PGSS 2.1
