TPC Ltd is one of the leading sugar-producing companies in Tanzania, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro approximately 22 kilometers south of Moshi Municipality. The company is inviting applications from qualified, energetic, proactive, and dynamic Tanzanians to fill the position of Draughtsman within the Factory Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings by translating engineering designs, specifications, and instructions into drafting documentation. The role also involves ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements while supporting maintenance and operational processes within the factory.

Job Summary
- Produce accurate technical drawings and drafting documentation
- Translate engineering designs and technical specifications into detailed drawings
- Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and company procedures
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret design concepts, technical specifications, and engineering instructions to develop detailed drawings
- Create, update, and revise 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software
- Utilize drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks to prepare and modify technical drawings
- Take field measurements and collect site data to support accurate drawing preparation and fabrication
- Review and analyze existing drawings to identify discrepancies, outdated versions, and inconsistencies with actual site conditions
- Prepare reports on identified discrepancies and coordinate corrective updates with engineers and designers
- Organize, file, and maintain drawings, revisions, and related records for easy retrieval
- Demonstrate understanding of mechanical equipment and operational processes
- Ensure compliance of all drawings with industry standards, safety requirements, and company procedures
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor
Academic Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from a recognized institution
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in drafting or a similar technical role
Work Experience
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Experience in field data collection and as-built documentation is an added advantage
