Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Implement and monitor compliance with HSSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements across LPG operations.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments at terminals, depots, and transport sites.
• Develop, maintain, and test emergency response and fire safety plans, including LPG leak and fire drills.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed root-cause analysis reports.
• Deliver HSSE inductions, refresher training, and toolbox talks for employees, contractors, and drivers.
• Ensure compliance with EWURA, OSHA, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards while maintaining statutory records and permits.
• Coordinate site security arrangements to protect personnel, facilities, and company assets.
• Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability initiatives and environmental impact assessments.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA Certification, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• 3–5 years of HSSE experience, preferably within the oil and gas or LPG sector.
• Strong understanding of LPG operations and associated operational risks.
• Knowledge of Tanzanian HSSE regulations, including EWURA and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Skills in emergency response planning, fire safety, incident investigation, and environmental management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training abilities.
