Grants and Finance Officer – AHADI at World Vision Tanzania
World Vision Tanzania is inviting applications from qualified finance professionals for the position of Grants and Finance Officer – AHADI based in Dodoma. This full-time role supports the financial management and grants administration of the AHADI project, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, World Vision policies, and established financial controls.
The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, partner financial management, procurement oversight, fixed asset management, audit support, and ensuring that project funds are utilized efficiently and in accordance with approved work plans and donor regulations.
Responsibilities

Ensure funding requests are submitted in accordance with approved annual work plans.

Support the preparation and revision of project budgets.

Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
-
Ensure project expenses are charged to the correct budget lines.
-
Maintain and regularly update the Fixed Asset Register.

Support finance and logistics operations.
-
Supervise drivers when required.
-
Support fleet management activities.
-
Review monthly financial and programme reports submitted by partners.
-
Post partner financial reports into the accounting system each month.

Conduct partner capacity assessments.
-
Support capacity-building initiatives for implementing partners.
-
Facilitate timely payments to vendors, project partners, and beneficiaries.

Ensure project costs are accurately recorded.

Ensure procurement plans are prepared and submitted as required.

Maintain complete procurement documentation and records.
-
Ensure procurement activities comply with approved plans and procedures.

Support project staff in submitting monthly timesheets.
-
Ensure labour distribution reports comply with donor and organizational requirements.

Maintain proper filing of staff timesheets.
-
Provide support during internal and external audits.
-
Coordinate timely responses to audit queries.
-
Assist in resolving audit findings and providing supporting documentation.
Qualifications Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field.

CPA, ACCA, or another relevant professional accounting qualification is an added advantage.

Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a donor-funded environment.

At least 1 year of experience working in an international NGO is preferred.

Strong experience in project accounting and financial management.

Experience in budget preparation, monitoring, and analysis.

Experience in grants management and donor compliance.
-
Experience managing contracts and implementing partners.

Strong financial reporting and presentation skills.

Ability to translate technical financial information into clear reports.
-
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong knowledge of Sun Systems accounting software.

Experience managing donor funds and grants operations.
-
Knowledge of procurement controls and fixed asset management.
-
Experience supporting fleet management activities.
-
Experience providing audit support and responding to audit queries.
-
Strong planning and organizational skills.
-
Excellent written and spoken English.
-
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
-
Tact and diplomacy when handling workplace matters.
-
Ability to work effectively with staff at all organizational levels.
-
Experience working for an international organization is an added advantage.
