Accountant

Kinga Homes Boutique Limited is inviting applications from qualified and detail-oriented accounting professionals for the position of Accountant in Kilimanjaro. The successful candidate will join the Finance Department and be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring inventory and operational costs, managing financial transactions, and supporting the organization's accounting and compliance requirements.

The Accountant will work closely with finance, procurement, and operational teams to maintain effective financial controls across the facility. The role also involves inventory management, supplier reconciliation, cost control, petty cash administration, revenue reconciliation, and preparation of statutory and tax returns.

Responsibilities include:

• Receiving incoming materials and reconciling them with purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Identifying, documenting, and resolving discrepancies involving purchase orders, goods received, invoices, and stock records.
• Managing and controlling cost centers across the facility.
• Updating and maintaining accurate inventory records, including physical stock, receipts, adjustments, transfers, and returns.
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring supplies remain within approved thresholds.
• Managing petty cash and ensuring all disbursements are properly documented and authorized.
• Maintaining organized records of sales, purchases, expenses, supplier invoices, and other financial documents.
• Keeping accurate records of stockroom transactions.
• Assisting with the timely preparation of budgets based on facility activities.
• Maintaining accurate supplier records and supporting professional supplier relationships.
• Monitoring revenue generated from the Bar, Restaurant, Rooms, and other independent revenue points.
• Ensuring sales reports are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Reconciling supplier invoices and confirming that supporting documentation is complete before payments are processed.
• Monitoring purchasing and operational expenses to support effective cost control.
• Preparing and filing statutory and tax returns, including PAYE, SDL, WCF, NSSF, VAT, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, and other applicable returns.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Working closely with procurement and operations teams to ensure proper purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and financial recording procedures.
• Performing other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Practical knowledge and experience using Tally accounting software.
• Experience preparing and filing statutory and tax returns.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, SAP, or similar accounting systems is an added advantage.
• Knowledge or experience in procurement processes, purchasing procedures, inventory management, and supplier coordination is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of financial reconciliation, stock control, and cost management.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
