St John’s University of Tanzania (SJUT) is inviting applications from qualified candidates for two positions of Assistant Lecturer – Accounting and Finance at its Chief Mazengo Campus in Dodoma. The opportunity is suitable for professionals with academic qualifications in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or Business Administration specializing in Accounting.
The successful candidates will participate in teaching, research, consultancy, and public service activities. This full-time academic position provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of accounting and finance education while building an academic career at SJUT.
Responsibilities

Teach Accounting and Finance courses under the guidance of senior academic staff.

Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars.

Supervise student projects and fieldwork.

Conduct research and publish research findings.

Participate in consultancy and other public service activities.

Perform other academic duties assigned by the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies.
Qualifications Required

Hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Accounting, or an MBA in Accounting and Finance.

Hold a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) specializing in Accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance (BAF).

Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5/5.0.

Have a minimum Master’s GPA of 4.0/5.0 or equivalent.
