Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is inviting applications for the position of Front Desk Supervisor at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in Tanzania. This is a full-time hospitality opportunity for an experienced front office professional who can lead daily front desk operations while maintaining the exceptional service standards associated with the Four Seasons brand.
The Front Desk Supervisor will play a key leadership role within the Rooms division, supervising Front Desk Agents, coordinating guest arrivals and departures, handling elevated guest concerns, and working closely with other hotel departments. The successful candidate should have previous front office experience, supervisory exposure in a luxury hospitality environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver excellent guest experiences under pressure.
Responsibilities

Supervise daily front desk workflow and review guest arrivals and departures.

Ensure smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures.

Coach, mentor, and support Front Desk Agents.

Assist with training employees on brand standards, service procedures, and hotel systems.

Engage with guests and recognize VIP and returning guests.

Handle guest concerns and ensure prompt resolution of operational issues.

Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering regarding room availability and special room assignments.

Accommodate guest preferences and special requirements.

Oversee accurate billing and front desk cash-handling procedures.

Audit front desk shift reports and ensure compliance with financial controls.

Work closely with Concierge, Valet, Housekeeping, and Security teams.

Maintain a coordinated and consistent luxury guest experience.

Support the effective operation of the Front Office department.

Make appropriate operational decisions and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 2–3 years of front desk or front office experience in a hotel or resort environment.

Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a luxury hospitality setting.

Proficiency in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), particularly Opera.

Good computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Strong leadership and team-coaching abilities.

Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong problem-solving abilities.

Good stress-management skills.

Sound decision-making capabilities.

Ability to work effectively with different hotel departments.
