Security Supervisor

Meliá Zanzibar is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to oversee security operations at its luxury 5-star resort in Zanzibar. The successful candidate will help protect guests, employees, facilities, and hotel property while ensuring that security procedures are consistently followed.

This position is suited to a security professional with hotel-based experience who can supervise security personnel, monitor CCTV operations, conduct property inspections, respond to incidents, and coordinate emergency procedures. The role also requires strong observation, communication, reporting, and leadership skills, together with a high level of integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily security operations throughout the resort.

• Supervise security officers and CCTV operators.

  

• Organize and conduct security patrols and property inspections.

• Monitor security activities to identify and respond to potential risks.

• Handle security incidents and prepare accurate incident reports.

• Coordinate emergency responses when security incidents occur.

• Develop, implement, and maintain security procedures and protocols.

• Monitor CCTV and other security systems.

• Support access-control procedures for guests, employees, contractors, and visitors.

• Help maintain fire-safety and emergency-security procedures.

• Ensure security operations meet the standards expected in a 5-star hotel environment.

• Communicate security issues and incidents to relevant hotel management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Security Supervisor role within a hotel.

• Experience in security operations and CCTV monitoring.

• Knowledge of access-control procedures.

• Knowledge of fire safety and emergency procedures.

• Understanding of security incident reporting.

• Strong communication skills.

• Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.

• Good reporting and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of CCTV and other security systems is an added advantage.

• Ability to work effectively in a busy 5-star hospitality environment.

• High level of integrity and professionalism.

• Must be a local resident of Zanzibar.
