About the Company
Our journey started in 2021, after operating a cashew auction warehouse and seeing firsthand how much of Tanzania’s cashew was leaving the country unprocessed. That experience shaped how we built Rahami. Today, we operate decentralized cashew processing facilities in Mtwara, Southern Tanzania, working closer to the source to improve how cashew moves through the supply chain. When processing happens closer to where cashew is grown, more value stays within those communities. Farmers earn more, less is lost along the way, and more jobs are created locally. Our buyers are importers, commodity traders, and distributors operating at scale. They've worked with enough suppliers to know that the gap between a supplier's promises and their actual delivery almost always traces back to how the supply chain is run, not how it's described. We built Rahami to keep more value in Tanzania through local processing, and to also improve how the supply chain is run so delivery matches expectation.
