Silverleaf Academy is seeking a highly experienced Systems & Data Consultant to support the organization’s long-term expansion and digital transformation strategy. The consultancy role is based within the Silverleaf Academy Network in Arusha, Tanzania, with remote or hybrid work arrangements possible.

The consultant will work closely with the CEO, Data & Tech Manager, and Senior Leadership Team to strengthen enterprise systems, data architecture, analytics, and decision-support capabilities as the organization scales from 5 to 30 schools over the next decade. The role focuses on ensuring that data, systems, and strategic planning are fully integrated to support sustainable growth, accountability, and educational impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and strengthen current organizational systems including academics, finance, HR, enrollment, technology, and monitoring systems
• Design scalable and integrated enterprise data architecture for multi-campus growth
• Identify system gaps, inefficiencies, and operational risks
• Define enterprise-level KPIs and support development of dashboards and reporting systems
• Provide leadership with reliable and real-time data for strategic decision-making
• Support scenario analysis, growth projections, enrollment planning, and resource forecasting
• Standardize reporting systems, workflows, and data definitions across campuses
• Strengthen data governance, access controls, compliance, and quality assurance processes
• Support preparation of partner-ready reports for donors, government stakeholders, and investors
• Improve data visualization, storytelling, and evidence-based reporting
• Build data literacy among leadership and non-technical teams
• Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems design, enterprise data strategy, analytics, or data consulting
• Strong experience supporting complex, multi-site, or growth-stage organizations
• Proven ability to translate data into strategic insights for executive leadership and boards
• Experience designing dashboards, KPIs, and decision-support systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Experience

• Experience in education, social impact, or mission-driven organizations
• Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems and education data
• Experience working in East Africa or similar operating environments
• Knowledge of data governance, system integration, and scalable infrastructure design
