As part of its continued commitment to talent development and commercial excellence, MCL is seeking a qualified and innovative candidate for the position of Sales Proposals & Value Proposition Intern.
The Sales Proposals & Value Proposition Intern will support the Advertising Department in developing customized sales proposals, client presentations, and strategic value propositions aimed at driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and integrated media solutions. The role requires a creative, analytical, and commercially aware individual capable of developing compelling business proposals and client-focused advertising solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing customized advertising proposals and integrated media solutions tailored to client needs and objectives.
- Preparing compelling sales presentations, pitch decks, sponsorship proposals, and commercial offers.
- Working closely with the Sales Team to understand client requirements and develop strategic value propositions.
- Supporting the development of innovative advertising packages across print, digital, events, and other MCL platforms.
- Conducting market and competitor analysis to strengthen proposal positioning and improve client targeting strategies.
- Coordinating with Editorial, Marketing, Digital, Events, and Creative teams in the development of client solutions.
- Assisting in pricing analysis, inventory planning, and packaging of advertising opportunities.
- Ensuring timely preparation and submission of proposals in line with client deadlines.
- Maintaining a repository and database of proposal templates, client presentations, and commercial materials.
- Tracking proposal outcomes and providing insights to improve conversion rates and customer engagement.
- Supporting business development initiatives and revenue generation activities within the department.
- Performing any other related duties as may be assigned by the Business Managers.
Qualification and Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least two (2) years of experience in sales support, business development, proposal writing, advertising, or client service.
- Strong proposal writing and presentation development skills.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
- Commercial awareness and strong analytical thinking skills.
- Creativity and innovation in developing client-focused solutions.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
