As part of this commitment, MCL is seeking a motivated and dynamic candidate for the position of Sales Intern – Advertising Department.

The Sales Intern will support the Advertising Department in sales generation, client servicing, account management, market research, and coordination of advertising activities. The internship offers practical exposure to media sales, customer relationship management, and advertising operations within a fast-paced media environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting Business Managers in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Assisting in managing and strengthening relationships with existing clients.
  • Following up on advertising bookings, artwork submissions, and client approvals.
  • Coordinating with internal departments including Editorial, Production, Finance, and Traffic to ensure timely execution of advertisements.
  • Assisting in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and client reports.
  • Conducting market research and monitoring competitor advertising activities.
  • Supporting the collection and reconciliation of client documentation and records.
  • Participating in client visits, sales meetings, and promotional activations when required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Assisting in achieving departmental sales targets and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Business Managers.

Qualification and Experience

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Mass Communication, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Previous internship or sales experience will be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good customer service orientation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
