As part of its commitment to developing young professionals and strengthening commercial operations, MCL is seeking a qualified and energetic candidate for the position of Sales & Events Coordination Intern.
The Sales & Events Coordination Intern will support the Advertising Department in driving revenue growth through advertising sales, sponsorship acquisition, client relationship management, and coordination of events and activations. The role requires a proactive and organized individual capable of supporting both sales initiatives and event execution within a dynamic media environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifying and developing new sales opportunities for advertising and event sponsorships.
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients and business partners.
- Coordinating the planning and execution of company events, activations, forums, and client engagement activities.
- Preparing sales proposals, sponsorship packages, presentations, and event reports.
- Working closely with Editorial, Marketing, Production, Digital, and Finance teams to ensure successful execution of campaigns and events.
- Coordinating event logistics including venue arrangements, branding, suppliers, guest lists, and event schedules.
- Following up on client bookings, artwork approvals, contracts, and payments.
- Supporting the achievement of departmental sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
- Conducting market research and monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Ensuring proper documentation and reporting of sales and event-related activities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with sponsors, agencies, and corporate clients.
- Performing any other related duties as may be assigned by the Business Managers.
Qualification and Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Event Management, Mass Communication, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least two (2) years of experience in sales, advertising, events coordination, marketing, or client service.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good negotiation and client relationship management abilities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
