Programme Officer – School Meals

World Vision is seeking a qualified Programme Officer – School Meals to support the coordination, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and resource mobilization efforts of the Global School Meals Programme. The position will work closely with the Technical Director to strengthen programme delivery, enhance stakeholder engagement, support knowledge management initiatives, and contribute to the growth and visibility of school meals programming across the organization.

The successful candidate will lead the development and management of information systems, reporting frameworks, documentation processes, and learning initiatives that support evidence-based programming. The role also involves donor engagement, programme development support, research coordination, and facilitating collaboration among technical teams, field offices, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and operationalization of information management, reporting, and documentation systems for the School Meals Programme.
  • Coordinate the development of monthly dashboards and quarterly programme reports.
  • Support the development of publications, case studies, capacity statements, and knowledge products related to school meals.
  • Lead the preparation and publication of the annual School Meals Programme report.
  • Manage School Meals communication channels and maintain programme documentation.
  • Administer and maintain the School Meals online information management platform.
  • Lead learning, evidence-building, and knowledge-sharing initiatives for school meals programming.
  • Organize learning forums, best practice exchanges, and technical meetings involving field offices and technical teams.
  • Follow up on the implementation of recommendations arising from evaluations and learning events.
  • Participate in research initiatives related to school meals and facilitate dissemination of findings.
  • Support programme development and implementation activities.
  • Develop innovative engagement and communication products for school meals initiatives.
  • Facilitate donor engagement and resource mobilization efforts.
  • Provide guidance to Support Offices on the utilization of Private Non-Sponsorship funding for school meals programmes.
  • Connect field offices with relevant technical experts to support proposal development.
  • Track implementation of School Meals Programme plans and action points using activity logs and monitoring tools.
  • Disseminate programme guidelines and monitor their implementation.
  • Support the organization and coordination of internal and external school meals meetings.
  • Prepare presentations and briefing materials for programme-related meetings and events.
  • Participate in meetings with donors, technical teams, field offices, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure meeting records, action plans, and follow-up mechanisms are maintained and implemented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Sociology, International Studies, Political Studies, Humanitarian Law, Public Health, Population Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in programme development, report writing, academic research, humanitarian programming, or international development work.
  • Experience working with non-governmental organizations, not-for-profit institutions, or public sector organizations.
  • Experience engaging with public and private donors.
  • Demonstrated experience in proposal development, concept note preparation, and report writing.
  • Strong understanding of the humanitarian and international development sectors.
  • Experience in knowledge management, programme coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
