Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO)
Stan Safaris is seeking a visionary, commercially driven, and transformational Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) to provide strategic leadership and drive sustainable growth across its tourism, hospitality, transport, and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the organization’s long-term strategy, enhancing operational performance, expanding market presence, and ensuring the achievement of financial and business objectives.
The GCEO will oversee all business divisions, foster a high-performance organizational culture, strengthen corporate governance, and build strategic partnerships that support the company's continued growth and competitiveness. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in hospitality, tourism, transport, and business management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Provide overall leadership and direction across all company operations and business units.
- Lead strategy implementation and monitor organizational performance against strategic goals.
- Represent the company in industry forums, stakeholder engagements, business negotiations, and strategic meetings.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, accountability, and service excellence.
- Strengthen operational systems, reporting structures, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure effective coordination and collaboration across departments and business divisions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and revenue streams.
- Lead business expansion initiatives and market development strategies.
- Develop innovative tourism, hospitality, transport, and logistics products and services.
- Drive sales and marketing initiatives to increase bookings, occupancy rates, partnerships, and brand visibility.
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with travel agents, tour operators, corporate clients, tourism boards, investors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
- Ensure financial sustainability, profitability, and efficient resource utilization.
- Prepare and present organizational performance reports to shareholders and directors.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer experience and service delivery.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for senior executives and department heads.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork, and high performance.
- Oversee transport operations, fleet management, logistics planning, and operational scheduling.
- Ensure transport operations are efficient, safe, cost-effective, and compliant with regulations.
- Ensure compliance with tourism, transport, labor, health and safety, and business regulations.
- Promote strong corporate governance and organizational accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in hospitality, tourism, transport, logistics, or related industries.
- Proven experience serving as a Chief Executive Officer, General Manager, Country Manager, Operations Director, or similar executive leadership role.
- Strong background in hospitality operations management.
- Strong experience in tour operations and tourism business management.
- Demonstrated expertise in transport and logistics operations.
- Proven success in commercial growth, business development, and market expansion.
- Experience managing multi-property, multi-branch, or multi-department operations.
- Strong strategic planning, financial management, and operational leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience improving organizational profitability and operational performance.
