The bank is seeking a highly competent and experienced Finance Manager – Management Accounting to join its team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, cost control, and management reporting activities while providing critical financial insights that support strategic decision-making and organizational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process across the bank.
• Coordinate periodic financial forecasting and planning activities.
• Ensure alignment of budgets with the bank’s strategic objectives.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Monitor cost performance across departments and business units.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Support financial modelling and strategic planning initiatives.
• Provide analytical input for business decisions, projects, and investments.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial reports and data.
• Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting processes.
• Support continuous improvement of management accounting systems and reporting frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Six to eight years of experience in Management Accounting.
• Six to eight years of experience in Financial Analysis.
• Experience within a banking environment will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills.
• Experience in financial modelling and business performance analysis.
• Strong understanding of cost control mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent presentation and reporting skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong capability to support strategic decision-making through financial analysis.
