Full Job Description

Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL), the largest sugar producer in Tanzania operating together with Illovo Distillers Tanzania Limited (IDTL), is inviting applications from qualified, hardworking, and committed individuals to fill the position of Business Finance Partner. The company is part of the ABF Sugar Division and continues to support professional growth while maintaining high operational and healthcare service standards within its workplace environment.

This role is responsible for supporting business decision-making through financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. The employee works closely with different departments to understand operational strategies, evaluate financial impacts, control costs, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support management in making financially sound business decisions.
  • Analyze financial implications of projects, operational plans, and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate business alternatives and recommend the most cost-effective and profitable options.
  • Prepare financial business cases and investment analyses such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR) for capital expenditure projects.
  • Produce accurate and timely:

    • Budgets
    • Forecasts
    • Profit & Loss (P&L) reports
    • Management reports

  • Monitor financial performance and investigate major budget variances.
  • Identify key cost drivers and recommend ways to reduce costs and improve profitability.
  • Improve financial reporting processes and streamline workflows.
  • Work closely with internal departments to understand their financial needs and operational challenges.
  • Develop and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor Financial Planners and support their professional development.
  • Ensure quarterly estimates and annual budgets are prepared accurately and on time.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

    • Accountancy
    • Business Administration
    • Or equivalent related field

  • Professional certification such as:

    • ACCA
    • CPA(T)
    • Or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or financial planning.
