Full Job Description
The ICT Officer Grade II (Business Analyst) position at Mamlaka ya Serikali Mtandao (eGA), also known as the e-Government Authority, is a professional ICT role focused on analyzing business requirements, improving digital processes, and supporting the implementation of government technology solutions. The role acts as a link between business units and technical development teams to ensure that ICT systems effectively meet operational and organizational needs.
This position has 1 vacancy, and the application period runs from 19/05/2026 to 01/06/2026. The role requires candidates with strong analytical, technical, and project coordination skills to support e-Government initiatives and enterprise-wide ICT solutions.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Analyzing institutional business models and their relationship with technology solutions
- Acting as a bridge between business groups with operational needs and technical teams providing solutions
- Participating in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide applications
- Working closely with developers and testers to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions
- Supporting development of new systems, business process improvements, strategic planning, and organizational change initiatives
- Providing support in implementation of e-Government initiatives throughout the project life cycle
- Participating in solution testing, evaluation, quality assurance, and communicating project deliverables to users
- Assisting in collection and consolidation of project information and data
- Ensuring compliance with ICT project management standards, e-Government standards, and guidelines
- Performing any other official duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline from a recognized institution
- Technical knowledge in determining end-to-end design requirements for projects involving business units, software/hardware developers, and vendors
- Strong skills in project planning, control, and delivery management
- Ability to review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, feasibility studies, business cases, and recommendations related to Government ICT projects
- Knowledge of quality assurance for ICT products and services
- ICT-related certifications such as CISA, PMP, or PRINCE2 will be an added advantage
Remuneration is according to the eGA Scheme of Service.
