Anesthetists (3 Positions) at CCBRT (Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania)

CCBRT is recruiting three Anesthetists to strengthen its Anesthesia Department and support specialized healthcare services in Tanzania. The organisation is one of the country’s leading providers of disability, rehabilitation, maternal, and newborn healthcare services, including emergency and high-risk surgical care.

The selected candidates will provide safe and effective anesthesia and perioperative care for patients undergoing surgical, obstetric, emergency, and diagnostic procedures. The role requires strong clinical judgment, patient safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Main responsibilities include:

• Providing anesthesia services for surgical and medical procedures
• Delivering perioperative patient care
• Supporting obstetric, emergency, and diagnostic procedures
• Ensuring patient safety during anesthesia administration
• Following national healthcare guidelines and professional standards
• Working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures
• Maintaining professionalism and ethical clinical practice

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Medicine
• Certification or Diploma in Anesthesia or BSc in Nurse Anesthesia
• Registration with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council or Medical Council of Tanzania
• Valid practicing license
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• High professionalism and ethical standards
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety
