Meliá Hotels International is seeking a qualified Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement and purchasing operations. The role focuses on cost efficiency, supplier management, inventory control, and ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services in line with company policies and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all purchasing and procurement activities
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services
- Approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and purchasing terms
- Maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations
- Monitor market trends and pricing
- Control procurement costs and support cost-saving initiatives
