Accounts Intern

MazaoHub is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Intern to join its finance team in Dar es Salaam. This internship opportunity is designed to provide practical exposure to accounting operations, financial record management, and administrative support within a dynamic and fast-growing agri-tech organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with finance professionals to gain hands-on experience in financial transaction processing, record keeping, reporting, and reconciliation activities. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recording daily financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Support invoice processing and payment tracking activities.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.
  • Assist in preparing basic financial reports and statements.
  • Support account reconciliation processes.
  • Verify and organize financial documentation.
  • Assist with data entry and updating accounting records.
  • Support finance team members with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Ensure proper filing and storage of financial documents.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with internal financial procedures.
  • Support preparation of reports required by management.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial record management.
  • Ability to work with numerical data accurately.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in accounting and finance.
