Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL), the largest sugar producer in Tanzania operating together with Illovo Distillers Tanzania Limited (IDTL), is inviting applications from qualified, hardworking, and committed individuals to fill the position of Medical Services Clerk. The company is part of the ABF Sugar Division and continues to support professional growth while maintaining high operational and healthcare service standards within its workplace environment.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with records management, health information systems, or related qualifications who are looking to build experience in a professional healthcare and industrial setting. The successful candidate will support medical records management, patient information handling, and administrative healthcare services while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities for this role involve supporting medical records and healthcare administration activities to ensure smooth operations within the company’s medical services department. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining medical records and healthcare information systems
  • Performing accurate data entry and updating patient records
  • Supporting patient care documentation and payment systems administration
  • Assisting in records archiving and information retrieval processes
  • Maintaining confidentiality of medical and administrative records
  • Supporting communication and coordination within the medical services department
  • Using Microsoft Office and hospital software systems effectively
  • Performing multitasking duties within a fast-paced working environment
  • Carrying out any other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications and experience required for this position focus on records management, healthcare information systems, and administrative competence. Applicants should possess:

  • Diploma or Degree in Records, Archives and Information Management
  • Diploma or Degree in Health Information Science/Systems or related field
  • 1–2 years of working experience in a similar environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of hospital software systems
  • Understanding of payment systems related to patient care services
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry tasks
  • Strong multitasking ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
