High School Mathematics Teacher – 2 Positions

Braeburn International School in Dar es Salaam is seeking qualified and experienced High School Mathematics Teachers to teach IGCSE Mathematics under the National Curriculum of England, Cambridge IGCSEs, A Levels, and BTEC programmes. The role involves supporting students’ academic growth through effective mathematics instruction and creating a positive learning environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
• Teach mathematical concepts effectively to secondary school students.
• Assess and monitor student progress through homework, tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Provide additional academic support to students who require assistance with mathematical concepts.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and achievements.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools.
• Participate in extracurricular and school activities where required, including PE/Games support.
• Support students’ academic and personal development.

Job Requirements

Education

• Relevant Degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum of two years’ experience teaching IGCSE Mathematics.
• Previous teaching experience in a secondary or international school setting.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
• Ability to teach PE/Games will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to create an engaging and student-centered learning environment.
• Good organizational and teamwork skills.
