The College of Business Education (CBE) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the position of Librarian II. CBE is a public higher learning institution established under Act No. 315 R.E. 2002, providing teaching, research, and consultancy services in business-related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake bibliographic searches for library users
• Promote the use of IT in meeting user information needs
• Research information needs of users
• Conduct research and consultancy activities in library and information services
• Handle professional and supervisory duties within the library
• Participate in developing library systems and procedures
• Identify library materials for procurement
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in:

  • Library Studies
  • Library and Information Science
  • Information Studies
  • Documentation
  • Information Management

Salary Scale:

• PGSS 6.1
