Operators – FAP

AngloGold Ashanti Tanzania is inviting qualified and experienced heavy equipment operators to apply for the position of Operators – FAP based in Geita. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with experience operating heavy mining machinery and a strong commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and responsible equipment handling within a mining environment.

The successful candidates will support mining operations by operating heavy equipment, conducting routine inspections, performing basic preventative maintenance activities, and ensuring all assigned tasks are completed according to operational plans and company safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mining equipment to support daily mining operations.

• Conduct routine inspections of assigned equipment before and during operations.

  

• Perform preventative maintenance checks to ensure equipment reliability.

• Report equipment faults, defects, or maintenance requirements promptly.

• Ensure all work activities are completed according to operational plans and procedures.

• Follow all safety rules, environmental requirements, and company operating standards.

• Maintain safe equipment operation practices at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating heavy machinery.

• Valid heavy machinery driver’s licence.

• Professional certificate in heavy machinery operation.

• Completion of Secondary School Education.

• Valid Tanzanian driving licence Class C, D, E, and F.

• Ability to read and write English.

• Police Clearance Certificate.

• Successful completion of pre-employment medical assessment.

• Strong awareness of workplace safety procedures and mining operational requirements.
