Officer 2 – CCTV at AngloGold Ashanti Tanzania

AngloGold Ashanti Tanzania is seeking a qualified Officer 2 – CCTV to support security and safety operations at its Geita mining operation. The role is responsible for ensuring that the CCTV control room remains properly staffed and that surveillance, fleet tracking, alarms, electronic access control, radio, and telephone systems are effectively monitored.

The successful candidate will monitor and report security, safety, and emergency incidents while maintaining accurate control room records and ensuring operational readiness. The position also involves coordinating incident responses, supporting control room operations, and assisting with other assigned CCTV-related duties.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct CCTV surveillance in accordance with established control room procedures.
• Monitor fleet tracking systems, alarms, electronic access control, radio, and telephone communications.
• Receive, record, coordinate, and escalate incidents reported to the control room.
• Handle security, safety, and emergency-related events appropriately.
• Report intrusions, suspicious behaviour, safety breaches, hazards, and other incidents.
• Warn response teams of identified threats during incident response.
• Acknowledge alarms and monitor haulage and shipment activities.
• Attend after-hours intercom calls.
• Ensure accurate completion of control room registers and operational records.
• Maintain control room readiness by ensuring relevant systems are operational.
• Report equipment and system faults through the appropriate channels.
• Take proper care of control room equipment.
• Ensure shipment-related tools are appropriately maintained and charged.
• Keep the control room clean, organized, and confidential.
• Support operational continuity by coaching new CCTV trainees.
• Operate the weighbridge accurately when required.
• Relieve the Shift Supervisor when required.
• Perform other assigned CCTV control room duties.
