Internal Investigation Coordinator at One Acre Fund
One Acre Fund is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Internal Investigation Coordinator in Iringa, Tanzania. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with a strong background in corporate investigations, audit, legal case management, fraud investigations, or related fields, particularly those with experience handling complex and high-risk cases.
The successful candidate will lead complex and high-value fraud investigations, including major warehouse losses, senior-level misconduct, and procurement or vendor fraud. The role also involves providing technical oversight to investigation teams, advising senior management on investigation outcomes and legal risks, coordinating with external legal counsel, and supporting legal and disciplinary proceedings.
Responsibilities

Conduct independent field investigations into suspected fraud, theft, inventory stock leakages, and policy non-compliance.

Investigate issues across rural retail, tree, and warehouse business units.

Gather physical and digital evidence.

Conduct witness and subject interviews.

Prepare chronological event logs in compliance with legal guidelines.

Record and track cases using Kissflow.

Prepare evidence bundles, interview notes, and supporting documentation for internal disciplinary panels, CMA proceedings, and legal cases.

Investigate and resolve farmer and customer complaints.

Identify operational vulnerabilities and support anti-fraud training and risk evaluations.

Prepare comprehensive investigation and audit reports containing factual findings, control failures, and actionable recommendations.

Lead complex and high-value fraud investigations.

Investigate major warehouse losses, senior-level misconduct, and procurement or vendor fraud.

Coordinate with external legal counsel.

Represent or support representation at CMA sessions.

Advise senior management on investigation outcomes and legal risks.

Line-manage the Internal Investigation Senior Supervisor.

Provide technical oversight, case assignments, guidance, and quality control for investigation files.
Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

Master’s degree is an added advantage.

3–5+ years of relevant experience in corporate investigations, audit, or legal case management.

At least 2 years of experience leading complex, high-risk fraud investigations, high-value asset loss inquiries, and senior-level misconduct cases.

Experience managing staff and providing technical guidance, quality control, and direction on investigation files.

Demonstrated knowledge of Tanzanian labour regulations.

Knowledge of Primary and District Court prosecution processes and legal proceedings.

Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

Experience with Kissflow or similar case management tools.

Fluency in Swahili and English, both written and spoken.

Willingness to travel extensively to field locations and vendor sites within Tanzania, approximately 30–40% of the work month.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
