Perseus Mining (Tanzania) Limited is seeking a Processing Operations Coordinator to support the commissioning, ramp-up, stabilisation, and optimisation of the processing plant at the Nyanzaga Gold Project in Tanzania. The position will play an important role in progressively increasing plant throughput and recovery while maintaining safe, stable, and disciplined operations.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day operational leadership, develop processing personnel, identify plant constraints, coordinate with metallurgy and maintenance teams, and drive continuous improvement. The role is particularly suited to an experienced gold-processing professional with strong exposure to crushing, grinding, gravity recovery, CIL/CIP, elution, tailings, reagents, plant commissioning, and operational optimisation.

Processing Operations
-
Support the commissioning and ramp-up of the processing plant.

Support plant optimisation and stabilisation activities.

Provide day-to-day leadership of processing plant operations.

Ensure safe, stable, and efficient production.

Deliver processing performance against production, recovery, throughput, and cost targets.

Ensure operations comply with approved operating philosophies and procedures.

Maintain operations within established metallurgical parameters.

Monitor plant performance and take corrective action when instability, downtime, losses, or other operational issues arise.

Work closely with Process Management, Metallurgy, Maintenance, and HSE teams.

Improve plant availability and equipment reliability.

Support initiatives to improve recovery and throughput.

Identify opportunities to reduce reagent consumption and operating costs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the processing operation.

Prepare accurate and timely production reports in accordance with site and corporate requirements.

Ensure plant equipment and infrastructure are operated within design limits.

Ensure plant equipment is maintained and operated in a safe condition.
Key Technical Skills and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should have:

A tertiary qualification or nationally recognised diploma in:

Or a related discipline.

Equivalent combinations of formal qualifications, professional certification, and relevant operational experience may also be considered.

Typically, at least 5 years of experience in gold-processing plant operations.

Experience in a supervisory or senior operational role within a processing plant.

Prepared to work outside normal working hours when operational requirements demand it.

About Nyanzaga Gold Project
The Nyanzaga Gold Project is Perseus Mining’s first planned operation in Tanzania and is located in the Lake Victoria Goldfields. A Final Investment Decision was made in April 2025, with first gold production targeted for early 2027.
The project has a strong focus on sustainability and local development, including employment, skills training, infrastructure development, and long-term social programmes. Once operational, Nyanzaga is expected to become an important contributor to Perseus Mining’s growth and a flagship gold project in East Africa.
