Perseus Mining Limited is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to support the company’s Accounts Payable function and administration activities at its Dar es Salaam office. The role focuses on ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time while maintaining reliable financial records and supplier information.
The successful candidate will also handle supplier reconciliations, accruals, accounts payable ageing, tax and statutory compliance, and support the procure-to-pay process. In addition, the position provides general office administration support and assists with internal, external, and regulatory audits.
Responsibilities

Process supplier invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments through company financial systems.

Maintain accurate vendor and supplier records.

Perform supplier reconciliations.

Manage Accounts Payable ageing.

Monitor accruals and maintain accurate financial records.

Maintain supporting financial documentation.

Maintain supplier master data.

Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.

Support procure-to-pay processes.

Assist with office administration, including logistics, document management, filing, office supplies, and visitor support.

Support internal controls and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Identify opportunities to improve Accounts Payable and administrative processes.

Assist internal, external, and regulatory auditors by providing required documentation.

Perform other duties necessary for effective execution of the role.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role.

Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and financial controls.

Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Knowledge of statutory and tax compliance requirements.

Proficiency in computerized accounting and ERP systems.

Experience using ERP and financial management systems.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Ability to meet deadlines.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
