  • Support standard-cost and bill-of-materials reviews for critical items and consumables.

  • Assist in establishing and reviewing consumption norms for fuel, tyres, reagents, and other key resources.

  • Provide inventory data for budgeting, forecasting, and cost-reduction initiatives.

  • Coordinate and participate in stocktakes and cycle counts.

  • Develop stocktake procedures, count instructions, and variance-investigation guidelines.

  • Review and approve stock adjustments resulting from stock counts.

  • Strengthen internal controls over inventory receiving, storage, issuing, returns, and write-offs.

  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties between warehouse, supply chain, and finance functions.

  • Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory.

  • Prepare inventory ageing and turnover analyses.

  • Calculate and recommend provisions for obsolete, damaged, or non-moving inventory.

  • Support write-offs, disposals, and stock-rationalisation programmes.

  • Maintain accurate inventory master data, including item codes, descriptions, units of measure, and costing parameters.

  • Support the implementation and optimization of ERP inventory and warehouse-management modules.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to improve inventory accuracy and control.

  • Train warehouse and end-user staff on inventory procedures and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, particularly IAS 2, Tanzanian regulations, and company policies.

  • Prepare inventory schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.

  • Address inventory-related audit queries and findings.

  • Support group reporting, consolidation packs, KPIs, and other corporate inventory reporting requirements.
