Launderer II – Mzumbe University

Mzumbe University (MU) is inviting applications for the position of Launderer II in Morogoro. This is a full-time opportunity suitable for candidates with secondary education and relevant training in hospitality or laundry-related work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling hospital laundry, including collecting soiled bed sheets and nets, laundering and ironing clothing items, maintaining laundry equipment, and ensuring that clean linen is available to different departments.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled hospital bed sheets and nets from the ward.

• Maintain laundry equipment in clean and safe working order.

  

• Keep the laundry area clean and safe.

• Provide clean bed sheets and bed nets to all departments.

  

• Launder and iron hospital clothing items.

• Report worn-out or damaged laundry items, bed sheets, and nets.

  

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Holder of a National Form IV Certificate of Secondary Education.

• Certificate in Hospitality Management or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.

• Ability to operate laundry equipment.

• Ability to maintain laundry equipment in a clean and safe working condition.
