Linen Runner

Mount Meru Hotel, a five-star hotel in Arusha, is looking for a Linen Runner to support its housekeeping operations. The position focuses on the safe and timely movement of clean and soiled linen between guest floors, service areas, the linen room, and the laundry.

This is a practical, physically active hotel role suitable for candidates with previous housekeeping or laundry experience. The successful candidate should be reliable, organized, physically capable of moving linen trolleys throughout a shift, and available to work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled linen from guest floors and other hotel departments.

• Transport soiled linen to the laundry for processing.

  

• Deliver clean linen to floor pantries and designated service areas.

• Ensure floor pantries maintain the required linen stock levels.

• Load and unload linen trolleys safely.

• Clean and maintain linen trolleys.

• Keep service corridors and linen transportation areas clear and orderly.

• Record quantities of linen moved between the laundry and guest floors.

• Report damaged or stained linen to the Linen Room Supervisor.

• Report missing linen and other stock discrepancies promptly.

• Follow hotel housekeeping, hygiene, and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping or laundry operations.

• Completion of secondary education (O-Level).

• Physical fitness to lift and move loaded linen trolleys throughout a shift.

• Ability to work for extended periods while moving around the hotel.

• Availability to work shifts.

• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.

• Good reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
