Linen Room Attendant

Mount Meru Hotel, a five-star hotel in Arusha, is seeking a Linen Room Attendant to support its housekeeping operations. The position is responsible for receiving, sorting, counting, storing, and issuing hotel linen and staff uniforms while ensuring that accurate inventory records are maintained.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with practical experience in hotel linen room operations. The role requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of stock control procedures to ensure that housekeeping and food and beverage departments have the linen and uniforms they need.

Responsibilities

• Receive clean linen and staff uniforms into the linen room.

• Sort and count linen and uniforms before storage.

  

• Store linen and uniforms properly and systematically.

• Issue linen and uniforms to housekeeping and food and beverage departments.

• Conduct daily linen inventory counts.

• Record all linen and uniform stock movements accurately.

• Inspect linen for stains, damage, and other defects.

• Separate damaged items for repair or disposal.

• Maintain accurate linen inventory records.

• Keep the linen room clean, organized, and secure.

• Ensure proper handling and storage of hotel linen and uniforms.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hotel linen room operations.

• Completion of secondary education (O-Level).

• Certificate in Hospitality is an added advantage.

• Knowledge of linen inventory control.

• Knowledge of stock record keeping.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

• Ability to maintain an orderly and secure working environment.
