Key Responsibilities
The Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for:

Maintaining the fixed asset register by recording acquisitions, transfers, disposals, impairments, and retirements.

Calculating monthly depreciation and amortization expenses.

Preparing and posting accounting entries related to fixed assets.

Ensuring proper capitalization of assets according to accounting policies.

Monitoring Construction-in-Progress (CIP) projects.

Reconciling fixed asset records with the general ledger on a monthly basis.

Preparing asset schedules for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Supporting internal and external audit activities.

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Reviewing CAPEX requests and supporting investment decisions.

Conducting physical asset verification and counts.

Investigating and resolving asset discrepancies.

Collaborating with departments to strengthen asset tracking and reporting processes.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Applicants should possess:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.

Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience.

At least 2 years of experience in fixed asset accounting.

Experience using ERP systems such as SAGE, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
