System Administrator: Charging Systems — Monitoring and Performance

Inventions Technologies Co Ltd is seeking a qualified System Administrator to manage and monitor charging systems and integrated infrastructure components. The role focuses on maintaining high system availability, infrastructure reliability, security, backup management, performance monitoring, and operational support in a carrier-grade environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute and automate daily system health checks to ensure system availability at 99.999%.
  • Identify faulty systems and potential failures promptly.
  • Recommend preventive and proactive fixes before incidents occur.
  • Monitor overall system performance and operational stability.
  • Implement security measures to prevent cyber threats and breaches.
  • Conduct regular security and vulnerability testing.
  • Establish and manage automated backup systems to maintain data integrity.
  • Support disaster recovery operations and recovery planning.
  • Plan and execute backup recovery procedures.
  • Sign off for TRP validation activities.
  • Create, update, and manage user accounts and access rights.
  • Manage permissions for applications, databases, and operating systems.
  • Automate user review processes for applications and systems.
  • Analyse customer complaints using available monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Respond to incidents and customer queries within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and service records.
  • Create structured test plans and test cases for released patches and fixes.
  • Ensure proper testing for new products and MPS deployments.
  • Utilize Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack tools for monitoring and analytics.
  • Ensure scalability, high performance, and 24/7 system reliability.
  • Monitor supplier service delivery according to contractual agreements.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with company standards and policies.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Business Information Technology
    • Telecommunication Engineering
    • Or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in Linux-based and cloud-based environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise infrastructure and monitoring systems.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack, KVM, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Rancher.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, cybersecurity best practices, and data protection policies.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Effective technical support and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
