Organization: Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the position of Station Master II. The successful candidates will supervise station operations, train movement, marshalling activities, and railway traffic management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Signal, receive, and dispatch trains
• Ensure train and traffic operations are carried out according to railway rules and regulations
• Work as in-charge of junior stations
• Ensure safe and efficient movement of trains, passengers, and freight traffic
• Supervise station security, installations, equipment, and general administration of small and medium stations
• Manage designated sections of marshalling yards and supervise train marshalling activities
• Direct and participate in breaking up train loads and placing traffic into local sidings and goods sheds
• Supervise placement and removal of wagons
• Check proper setting of railway points
• Instruct and supervise subordinate staff
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• NTA Level VI in:

  • Railway Transportation
  • Transport Management
  • Logistics Management
  • Or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
