Full Job Description

IFS Consulting Limited is inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Sales Representative on behalf of its client in the Power Tools and Machinery sector.

Position: Sales Representative
Sector: Power Tools and Machinery
Location: Dar es Salaam
Contract Duration: 1 Year Renewable

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling power tools, generators, pumps, compressors, welding machines, and workshop equipment while building strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets.

Products to be Sold

  • Power tools including drills, grinders, and saws
  • Generators including portable and industrial units
  • Water pumps including submersible and surface pumps
  • Compressors and accessories
  • Welding machines including MIG, TIG, and arc welders
  • Workshop equipment including hoists, stands, and benches

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell tools and machinery to walk-in and corporate customers
  • Demonstrate product features and provide technical guidance
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
  • Prepare quotations and follow up sales leads
  • Maintain showroom presentation and product display standards

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in tools, hardware, or industrial equipment sales is an added advantage
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Basic technical understanding of power tools and machinery
  • Self-driven and customer-focused personality
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in MS Office, email, and CRM systems
  • Fluency in both Swahili and English
