Full Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist at CRDB Bank is a one-year contract role based at the Tanzania Head Office within the Project Management Office (PMO) Unit. The position focuses on strengthening governance, risk management, compliance, and quality assurance across project delivery processes. The role ensures that project execution, reporting, and operational controls meet internal policies, regulatory standards, and best practice frameworks while supporting continuous improvement and operational resilience.

The successful candidate will work under the Senior Manager: Project Governance & Reporting and will be responsible for monitoring project performance, conducting quality assurance reviews, identifying control gaps, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders. The role is both analytical and governance-driven, requiring strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and the ability to coordinate across multiple project and governance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting periodic and ad hoc quality assurance reviews, control testing, and operational audits
  • Identifying, assessing, and escalating operational risks, control gaps, and compliance issues
  • Performing root cause analysis and supporting corrective action implementation
  • Monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and project performance metrics
  • Developing and maintaining project governance frameworks, tools, and methodologies
  • Managing integrated project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and baselines
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying variances, and supporting recovery planning
  • Supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule risk analysis
  • Consolidating project dashboards and preparing management reports for decision-making
  • Coordinating communication between project teams, vendors, sponsors, and governance bodies
  • Maintaining and monitoring contract obligation matrices and compliance tracking
  • Delivering training and awareness sessions on risk, governance, and project control practices
  • Supporting Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), RCSA activities, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Commerce, Risk Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in risk management, audit, or project management
  • Professional certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or risk management is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks
  • Knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, critical path analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Proficiency in advanced project scheduling and management tools
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to analyze project lifecycles, dependencies, and governance structures
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and presentation capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and attention to detail
