Job Description
Hannah Bennie School (HBS) was established to provide children in Kigamboni with access to high-quality English-medium education close to home. Founded in response to the educational needs of the local community, the school remains committed to nurturing learners through academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development.
As part of its continued growth, HBS is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable ICT Teacher to inspire learners and equip them with essential digital skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging ICT education, supporting technology integration across the school, and fostering a culture of digital literacy and responsible technology use.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons aligned with the TIE primary ICT syllabus
- Introduce learners to basic computer operations, productivity tools, internet safety, and computational thinking
- Maintain the computer laboratory, ensuring all equipment is functional, safe, and secure
- Assess student progress and prepare termly academic reports
- Support fellow teachers in integrating ICT tools and resources into classroom instruction
- Supervise ICT clubs and other technology-related co-curricular activities
Qualification Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (ICT) or a Degree in Computer Science with a recognized teaching qualification
- Registration with the Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC)
- At least two years of teaching experience is preferred
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications, basic coding skills, and educational technology platforms
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
