Job Description

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development by promoting volunteerism as a powerful means of advancing sustainable development. Working with United Nations agencies, governments, civil society organizations, and development partners, UNV mobilizes skilled professionals to strengthen development initiatives and foster inclusive partnerships worldwide.

The Partnership Analyst will support the development, management, and strengthening of strategic partnerships that enhance UNV’s programmes and organizational objectives in Tanzania. The role involves coordinating stakeholder engagement, supporting resource mobilization initiatives, facilitating collaboration with partners, and contributing to effective programme implementation and partnership growth. This position is offered under a National Personnel Service Agreement (NPSA-9) for an initial one-year contract.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of partnership strategies and engagement plans
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with government institutions, UN agencies, development partners, civil society organizations, and the private sector
  • Identify and explore new partnership and resource mobilization opportunities
  • Coordinate partnership activities and ensure effective collaboration among stakeholders
  • Support the preparation of partnership proposals, concept notes, presentations, and briefing materials
  • Monitor partnership implementation and track progress against agreed objectives
  • Prepare reports, partnership updates, and analytical documents for management and stakeholders
  • Facilitate coordination meetings, consultations, and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Support knowledge management and documentation of partnership achievements and best practices
  • Contribute to programme planning, monitoring, and reporting activities
  • Ensure compliance with UNV policies, procedures, and partnership guidelines
  • Perform other partnership and programme-related duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • Master’s Degree with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in partnership development, programme management, stakeholder engagement, resource mobilization, development cooperation, or a related field
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience preparing reports, proposals, and analytical documents
  • Strong coordination and project management abilities
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluency in English is required

General Conditions

  • Position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Full-time employment under a National Personnel Service Agreement (NPSA-9)
  • Initial contract duration of one year
