The Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU) is seeking a qualified Medical Doctor to support a clinical trial evaluating a single dose of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in males. The role involves participant care, clinical assessments, data collection, trial protocol compliance, and supervision of field staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide trial information to participants and answer study-related questions
• Perform physical examinations and sample collection according to SOPs
• Collect and complete study data and source documents accurately
• Ensure compliance with study protocols and Good Clinical Practice principles
• Provide clinical support to survey team leads
• Ensure good prescribing practices are followed
• Manage storage and accountability of drugs and equipment in the field
• Lead and supervise a small team of field staff
• Maintain quality assurance and reporting standards during trial activities

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Medical degree from a recognized university
• Fully registered Medical Doctor with a valid practicing license in Tanzania
• Clinically active within the past three years
• Minimum of three years’ experience in medical research
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili
• Ability to follow study protocols and Good Clinical Practice standards
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to ensure proper drug and equipment accountability
