Job Description
Jordan University College (JUCo) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced academic professionals for two positions of Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer in Library and Records Management. Responsibilities
- Conduct research, publications, and consultancy activities in the field of Library and Records Management.
- Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials, tests, assignments, and examinations.
- Assess and mark students’ coursework and examinations and submit results within the required timelines.
- Prepare teaching and learning materials for academic programmes.
- Guide and supervise students’ research projects and academic assignments.
- Mentor and support junior academic staff on professional and academic matters.
- Participate in departmental, college, and institutional academic activities.
- Organize and participate in departmental, college, and public seminars.
- Contribute to community engagement and consultancy services.
- Report directly to the Head of Department or designated supervisor.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or reporting officer.
Qualifications
- PhD in Library and Records Management or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Master’s Degree in Library and Records Management or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Records Management or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s degree level.
- Minimum GPA of 4.0 at Master’s degree level.
- Degrees must be obtained from recognized institutions.
- Strong teaching, research, and academic writing skills.
- Ability to supervise students and contribute to scholarly publications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentorship skills.
