As part of its commitment to maintaining high-quality credit administration and portfolio monitoring standards, the bank is inviting qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Credit Administration & Monitoring Officer.
The Credit Administration & Monitoring Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective control and monitoring of the bank’s credit portfolio, compliance with regulatory and internal policies, and proper management of credit documentation and collateral processes. The role supports Credit and Risk Management functions by ensuring all lending operations are conducted in accordance with approved procedures, regulatory guidelines, and group standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end back-office credit processes before and after disbursement of credit facilities
- Reviewing approval conditions and ensuring all legal documentation is complete before facility disbursement
- Ensuring all pre-disbursement conditions, charges, fees, and insurance requirements are fulfilled
- Confirming proper execution of offer letters and security documentation by customers
- Preparing Credit Availment Tickets (CAT) and coordinating facility booking and disbursement processes
- Extracting, analyzing, and interpreting credit portfolio information for management and regulatory reporting
- Monitoring arrears, excesses, and watch-list accounts while recommending corrective actions
- Ensuring timely submission of reports to the Central Bank, Board, and Group management
- Monitoring insurance policies and ensuring collateral assets remain adequately insured
- Monitoring credit exposures and enforcing compliance with facility covenants
- Managing collateral valuation processes and coordinating with professional valuers
- Monitoring and updating valuation reports to ensure compliance with policy requirements
- Conducting monthly and quarterly risk classification of accounts in line with BOT guidelines and IFRS 9 requirements
- Managing reconciliation of General Ledger accounts, suspended interest accounts, and provisions
- Following up annual reviews and renewals of overdraft facilities before expiry dates
- Monitoring temporary overdrafts and approved excesses to ensure timely settlement
- Responding to branches’ and borrowers’ queries related to interest calculations and system issues
- Managing collateral inspection and site visit reports
- Coordinating submission of credit data to credit reference agencies and maintaining related processes
- Maintaining ticklers for insurance, documentation deferrals, overdraft limits, and other monitoring controls
- Acting as custodian of all credit files and ensuring proper record updates
- Supporting the achievement of acceptable audit ratings in all credit review exercises
- Performing additional duties assigned by management
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of banking operations, credit risk management, and loan administration processes. Applicants are expected to have the ability to analyze credit portfolio performance, manage operational risks, and ensure compliance with both regulatory and internal credit policies while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Qualifications and Experience include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business-related fields, Accounting, Law, Science, or related disciplines
- Minimum of three years banking experience with at least two years in Credit Administration & Monitoring or Credit Risk Operations
- Strong understanding of lending products and core banking systems
- Knowledge of modern credit risk management practices within the financial services industry
- Good understanding of loan and collateral documentation processes and perfection requirements
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical competence in performing credit risk management activities effectively
- Self-motivation and ability to work collaboratively within a customer-service-oriented environment
Key Competencies include:
- Strong knowledge of banking policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate restructuring and recovery of problem loans
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet reporting deadlines efficiently
